CEA is honoured to welcome Professor Hannah Dahlen as guest speaker at our next morning tea.

Professor Dahlen has extensive experience as a midwife, is a Professor of Midwifery at the University of Western Sydney and is a leading midwifery researcher in Australia. The list of her accomplishments goes on. You may know her from the Face of Birth film.

Her topic of interest is research into the impact of rates of intervention during childbirth in different birth settings and the implications of those interventions. Her focus is looking at ways to keep birth normal and improve the childbirth experience for women to ensure they have the best physical and emotional outcomes.

Another notable study involved the establishment of a group of experts who presented a groundbreaking hypothesis regarding the impact of what happens during childbirth with regards to how our genes are switched on and off.
